Today I’m going to tell you how to make a “candle” fire for quick heating of food with a minimum amount of wood.

Our task is to quickly boil water or, for example, heat canned food on the fire with a minimum amount of time and wood. It goes without saying that we need to quickly build a fire for this purpose.

So, what do we do? We take not a thick stick and chop it into equal lengths of rods. We dig a small hole, make a small ditch to the side, it will be an ash-pit.

In the hole in a circle, we stick standing our rods. We cover the hole with sticks to make a tunnel. In our case, we found a small wooden plate.

Here, it is important that the top of the twigs be at the same height, otherwise our container may fall down.

At the bottom of the pit we put the kindling and make a fire. On top we put our container. After 4-5 minutes, the water boiled.

The main thing here is not to miss the moment when the rods begin to burn, and our container may fall.

It took us eight minutes to do it all.

It took us 8 minutes to chop equal lengths of twigs, dig a hole, stick the twigs in and light the fire.
